UPDATE – Long Point Causeway Bridge

Norfolk County is pleased to announce that work is expected to commence on the interim solution for the Long Point Causeway Bridge on Monday June 11, 2018.

During the construction work, traffic on the bridge will continue to be reduced to a single lane controlled by temporary traffic signals or flagmen.  The weight limit and speed limit reduction will be in place for the duration of the construction period.

A rig mat solution is being installed.  The rig mat solution will allow Norfolk County to remove the load limit on the bridge.   The speed limit reduction will remain in effect.  The temporary solution is able to remain in place for the next few years while the County moves forward with the bridge project.

Norfolk County Public Works Division apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your cooperation.
