Long Point Country Chamber of Commerce held its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, November 16 at Backus Heritage Education Centre.
Wrapping up a successful 2017, the Chamber members spoke about the different events and special touches they put together for the community this past year. This included their involvement with the Canada 150 Cultural Event and downtown beautification projects including the red bicycles, scarecrows and Christmas stars.
Scott Bouck, owner of Trillium Court Trailer Park, was elected 2018 President succeeding Bob Bonin. Ron Yantho is Vice President. With over 30 years of dedicated service, secretary-treasurer Lois Lounsbury will continue in that role.
Thanking the members for his nomination, Scott Bouck said he is looking ahead to this coming year. “I have a few new ideas that I’m looking forward to trying out,” he said.
